★★★★★“A fantastic 5-day stay with the family across the board. We would happily stay here again next time we’re in Singapore.||The front desk provided the full range of Platinum benefits upon check-in: early check-in, room upgrade to a much larger room than originally booked, free breakfast, unlimited complimentary drinks and snacks during happy hour, and welcome gift. The manager Natasha made a point of getting to know us and even got a coloring book and some colored pencils for our kids.||What really sets this property apart is the service. Every employee we encountered seemed happy to see us and went out of their way to help us have a better visit.||The hotel is conveniently located. It is a short walk away from City Square Mall and the Farrer Park MRT station. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the busiest part of Little India.”
★★★★★“Although the hotel appears cute and stylish from the outside and in photos, once inside, there are several areas that clearly give the impression of an older building that has been renovated. The first thing that stood out was the narrow, dimly lit corridor leading to the rooms, which honestly felt almost like walking through a haunted house. It was not what I would expect from a Marriott property. The lounge service was confusing as well. We were initially told that each guest could order only two food items and two drinks, but later the staff asked if we wanted any additional food. This made the service policy feel inconsistent and left us unsure of what was actually included. Soundproofing was another issue. The room door felt very thin, and conversations from the hallway could easily be heard inside the room. We were given an upgraded room, but the toilet and shower space was still extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel may look fashionable and charming at first, but the actual stay did not feel consistent with the level of quality I normally expect from Marriott.”
★★★★★“We had a wonderful 5-day stay at The Serangoon House and truly enjoyed every moment of it. The location is excellent—very convenient and just a short walk to the MRT, making it incredibly easy to get around the city with family. The hotel itself is clean, safe, and extremely family-friendly, which made our stay very comfortable, especially while traveling with kids. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully managed. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional staff. The team consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had a smooth and pleasant experience. A special shoutout to Prabha and Kamala at the front desk for their outstanding customer service—they were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Singapore, especially families looking for comfort, convenience, and genuinely great hospitality.”
★★★★★“Unfortunately, the breakfast is not buffe but a la cart. Moreover, no healthy food selection is available and I'm deeply disappointed. The breakfast is most important food to start the day and I will not come back to stay this hotel due to the breakfast menu. The location wise, it is good to enjoy Southern Indian food, which is one of my favorite dishes. The room cleaning is not completed by 15:00. The sound insulation of rooms is not perfect. The hotel offers very basic facilities. Personally I don't like the bed with ceiling.”
